La Guta restaurant in Jerusalem, formerly in Nahalat Shiva, is now housed in a spacious stone house, surrounded by gardens, in the city’s picturesque Bak’a neighbourhood.
The restaurant space - designed in classic/contemporary style, provides diners with an unforgettable dining experience. The interior design features several spaces: a private room that seats 14, a wine room with a view of the central space, a kitchen that is open to the dining space allowing guests to see the chef and kitchen staff at work, as well as outside space with intimate corners and a trendy bar. Once spring arrives, tables are placed on the outside deck and guests enjoy alfresco dining.
Chef Guy Ben-Simhon, the son of Guta Ben-Simhon who opened La Guta, infuses the restaurant with the fresh culinary spirit he absorbed during his years of worldwide travels. Chef Ben-Simhon has studied with some of the greatest chefs in Israel and the world. Alongside his traditional cookery techniques, Ben-Simhon emphasises locally sourced raw materials, and a broad spectrum of styles and influences - together creating the distinctive signature of a maestro chef.
At La Guta, appetisers and entrees are served in two sizes, so diners can choose either to enjoy a traditional meal, or to assemble a culinary journey throughout the several courses.
